Founder
Craig is a serial entrepreneur who moved to Nosara, Costa from New York in August 2019. He is a CPA that has been servicing clients for 37 years. His extensive experience has allowed him to aid his clients both in the start-up phase as well as those that have been operational for many years. His critical thinking and creativeness in truly looking at the business and its particular set of needs gave him the confidence to not only help his clients but to commence various other businesses that range from the food and beverage industry to having a private equity fund.Since moving to Nosara Craig has continued to work with his US based clientele as well as invest and work in varying capacities a real estate finance company, a custom concrete company, a mechanic shop as well as partake on three non-profit board of directors.
After getting a taste of the creativity of the film industry via his son, Tristan, it was no surprise that he is the driving force behind bringing some additional culture to a growing community of both local Costa Ricans and expatriates. That being the Nosara International Film Festival. Of course he knows that without amazing people surrounding him with their expertise none of this would be possible. This is a passion project that he envisions growing each year that will be compared to larger film festivals around world.

Tristan is a 22 year old filmmaker and videographer currently based out of Brooklyn, New York. He grew up on Long Island an hour and a half away from New York City, and spent parts of the winters driving to and from the mountains of Vermont. At 16, he and his family moved to Nosara, Costa Rica until he was 21 and moved back to New York.Moving from the high-paced regime of New York down to the jungles and beaches of Costa Rica, Tristan discovered his passion for filmmaking. Ever since he can remember, Tristan has always felt the most alive when grounded in nature. Over the past 22 years, he has consistently questioned himself and the human condition, leading him to eventually fall in love with filmmaking as his main outlet for expression. In Tristan’s eyes, the Nosara International Film Festival stands as a major opportunity to cultivate surges of connection between individuals, and foster the weaving of minds, hopefully opening doors for artists and filmmakers around the world.
In all of Tristan's work, he strives to portray reality in the rawest form, constantly exploring the intricacies of the human experience, finding the links between harmony and nature, all while dissecting the painful, more intricate realms of the mind. Mental health is at the forefront of Tristan's work, and he hopes that NIFF can generate pockets of healing and love for those in need.
